My Story
It all began on Sunday mornings many years ago, captivated by watching Norm Abrams on The New Yankee Workshop. Inspired by his craftsmanship and carpentry, I bought my first table saw and embarked on a path of creativity, starting with a custom furniture then transforming to new projects. Over the years, I've crafted countless pieces of furniture and wood art, and now focusing on unique desert driftwood (wood found in desert arroyos and washes), allowing the wood piece to guide its own transformation. Join me as I explore the beauty of wood and share my passion for creating one-of-a-kind wood creations!
What is Desert Driftwood?
Desert driftwood is wood that has been slowly washed down from the mountains through streams and flash flooding. It takes several years for the wood to 'drift' down the mountain along with long intervals of logs and branches being sunbaked which changes the color and texture of the wood, creating a unique characteristic of the wood.
